More Ways to Support Leeway this Christmas

17 November 2017
A gift being given

Our annual appeal for gift donations is underway. Last week, we gave you details of the sort of items that we are collecting and where to drop them off. The donations are already rolling in. Thankyou everyone. Your generosity astounds us every year. This week, we want to promote two other ways you can help raise money for Leeway: by signing up to the GoRaise website and by saving the stamps from your Christmas cards.

Online Shopping

There are over three thousand retailers signed up to GoRaise that will make a donation to Leeway every time you shop with them. Here’s how it works:

The process costs you, the shopper, nothing extra. The donations come from the retailer. Create an account and search for Leeway. You can then add us as your selected cause. Search the GoRaise website for the retailer you are shopping at - there’s a big selection of over 3,000, including Boots, M&S, Argos, Ebay, Currys and Next.

Visit the GoRaise website each time you want to shop online and you will be raising money for Leeway just by shopping! The money raised goes to providing our essential services for people who have experienced domestic abuse.

Stamp Collection

When you get a Christmas card, please don’t throw the envelope straight in the recycling. By taking a brief moment to cut away the stamp, you can help us raise money. We can get £11 for every kilo that we collect through the website fundraisingstamps.com. Any stamps will do - they don’t have to be foreign or colourful or rare. Just make sure that they are intact - leave a border of up to 1cm when you cut round them. The collection/drop-off point for your stamps is 79 Thorpe Road (where you can also drop off donations for our annual Christmas Appeal).
