Our Availability: Ways to Contact Leeway

Since the beginning of lockdown, the number of people contacting Leeway for advice and support has significantly increased.

As the latest Government advice instructs everyone to work from home where possible, we wanted to remind people of how to safely access support during this difficult period.

For many people, it may be unsafe to make a call as this could alert the perpetrator, so we have included some discreet ways that people can access support.

The Silent Solution

If in immediate danger, you should always contact the police by calling 999.

If speaking or making a sound would put you in danger and you need immediate help, call 999 and stay on the line, then press 55 when prompted and the call will be transferred to the police, who will know it is an emergency call.

If you are concerned about a family member, friend or neighbour, contact the police.

Leeway’s Advice & Support

You may have seen that we have recently launched a new Live Chat service, which has kindly been funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk.

This service provides free, discreet, confidential and non-judgemental advice and support, initially running for two hours, three times a week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am and midday

The chat can be accessed during these hours by visiting our website and clicking on the chat icon in the bottom right hand corner.

Advice and support can also be accessed by our telephone helpline on 0300 561 0077 and our email address, adviceandsupport@leewaynwa.org.uk

More information on the range of services that Leeway provides can be found on our Help & Support page.

General Enquiries

Over the past few months, we have also received a range of enquiries about fundraising, donations, training and much more.

In a recent blog post, we outlined the new process in place for donations and also the items we are currently taking.

In the past few months, we have adapted our training packages to deliver sessions online and will be listing new dates on the website soon. We also provide bespoke sessions for organisations, which can be arranged by contacting us.

Our contact emails are:

Thank you for all your support over the last couple of months; it is hugely appreciated by everyone at Leeway.
