New Process for Gift Donations

25 September 2020
Leeway donated items

We recently started to take a limited range of donations again, after being unable to accept donations due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The support that we have seen so far has been incredible and we would like to thank everyone for their support.

How to Donate

We currently have a strict system in place for dropping off donations to limit the number of people that are visiting our office at any one time.

Anyone that wishes to drop items off must book a time slot with our Donations Officer – this can be done by emailing donations@leewaynwa.org.uk

Please check with the Donations Officer that we are accepting the items that you are intending to drop off, as there are some items we are currently unable to take.

We are currently accepting:

  • toiletries (new only)
  • toys & games (new/as new)
  • books (new/as new)
  • unopened, in date, food items.

Temporary Safe Accommodation Project

We have recently received funding from Norfolk County Council to provide emergency, temporary, safe accommodation to those fleeing domestic abuse.

As part of this project, there are a number of items that would be gratefully appreciated. Here is a list of the items we are looking for:

  • Single Bedding sets (inc. sheets)
  • Towels
  • Kitchen items inc: Crockery, Cutlery, Tin Openers, Pans, Frying pans, Scissors, Oven trays, Chopping Board, Spatulas & spoons, Tea towels, Washing up bowl, Colander
  • Kettles, Irons, Toasters (New)
  • Microwave (New)
  • Televisions (New)

Anyone wishing to donate any of these items should contact the Donations Officer to book a drop-off slot.

Leeway eBay Store

Last year, we launched our eBay store, selling high quality new and used items of clothing and footwear, raising money to enhance and sustain the services we provide.

The store has been well supported since its launch, but we have not been active on it during the Coronavirus pandemic. Now lockdown measures have been eased, we will be relisting items on our page and are after some more donations of items to sell.

Be sure to keep an eye on our page for our latest listings!
