How to Help With Fundraising for Leeway During the Pandemic

Due to Coronavirus, we have been unable to hold our usual fundraising events for nearly a year now. Despite this, we have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from our local communities, raising money to support Leeway and the work that we do.

It continues to be unclear when we may be able to safely hold events in the near future, but here are some ways in which you can support us in the coming months!

Virtual Events

During the pandemic we have held a couple of virtual events, such as exercise challenges and quizzes, as well as some fun competitions.

Thank you to everyone that has supported any of our events, competitions and campaigns during the pandemic so far, your support is hugely appreciated. Planning is now underway for more exciting virtual events, which we hope to announce on our social media soon!

Holding Your Own Challenge

In the last year,  many of our supporters have taken on challenges to raise money for Leeway, whilst also doing something fun in the process!

We have had supporters setting up sponsored exercise challenges involving walking, running and cycling, as well as holding their own quizzes or even letting their children cut their hair!

So if you wanted to take on a new challenge to start 2021 what better way to do it than raising money for a good cause at the same time. Our fundraising pack can be found on our Fundraising Page and has some more ideas and inspiration of how you can raise money.

Future Plans

We hope that we may be able to safely hold some form of events towards the end of 2021 and are exploring ideas of things that could potentially be held in a safe manner.

Run Norwich 2021, which we are an official charity partner for, is scheduled to go ahead in October – should the situation improve.

We will keep supporters who are participating in the event up to date with any information regarding Run Norwich as and when we receive updates. To ensure the safety of all supporters, we continue to follow the guidance set out by the Government and Public Health.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our fundraising events as soon as it is safe to do so!
