Our Stand at the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce B2B Exhibition

09 October 2017
Branding on South Stand at Norwich City Football Club

Here at Leeway, we are always looking out for opportunities to engage with the local business community. On Thursday 12 October, we’ll be hosting a stand at the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce’s annual B2B Exhibition at Carrow Road in Norwich. It’s one of the biggest events on the regional business calendar. We’ll be joined at our stand by social enterprise Britannia café who are aiming to raise at least £1,000 for Leeway over the coming months.

We’ll be using the event to explain to businesses the ways in which they can benefit from supporting a local charity like Leeway.  It can of course be great for a company’s reputation to back a good cause, helping to edge them ahead of the competition. Charity-supporting firms can soon find their websites and social media full of exciting stories about the work that employees are undertaking to raise money. In turn, these activities often draw the attention of local newspapers and broadcasters.

But no less important is the positive effect that supporting a charity can have on the team and the workplace. The activities are good fun: staff might compete against one another in an office bake-off, abseil down the side of a building or – if they’re particularly brave – take part in a skydive! The key point is that everyone is working together towards the ultimate goal of raising money, and a diverse range of activities gives everyone a chance to contribute.

In short, employees feel good about themselves and an added sense of pride in their company. We’ll be looking to speak to plenty of local firms about these benefits over the coming months, and hope to see as many of you as possible on 12 October!
