Join the Rotary Club Acle Walk and Raise Funds for Leeway

07 AprGroup of four people walking along a track

For over four decades Leeway has reached out to support women and children who are experiencing domestic abuse. Our work, both at our refuges and through our community based services has helped to change the lives of thousands of people. However, without the backing of the local Norfolk community none of this would be possible. We are therefore eternally grateful for the support we receive from local people, businesses and organisations – one of which is the Norwich Centenary branch of the Rotary Club.

The Rotary Club is made up of 1.2 million neighbours, friends and community leaders, all of whom have come together with the aim of making a positive difference both here in the UK and around the world. The organisation was originally founded in 1905 and has since worked with a number of leading international organisations – including the UN.

As part of their work, the Rotary Club will be hosting a charity walk on Sunday 15th May 2016 to raise money for local good causes. The event will start and finish at Acle Recreation Centre and it is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the beautiful countryside and river views around Acle & Upton, whilst helping to raise money for your chosen charity.

Rotary Club Acle Walk

  • Arrive and start your walk anytime between 8:45am and 10:30am.
  • It costs just £6.00 for adults who book in advance or £7.50 on the day. The event is free for all children under the age of 14.
  • All entry fees go to the Rotary Club, though 100% of your sponsorship money will go to the charity of your choice.
  • Entrants can choose between either a 6 mile or 10 mile route.
  • Marshalls, maps and directions will be provided.
  • Car parking and refreshments will also be available.

We are thrilled to be able to support this event and are happy to assist anyone who may be interested in taking part on behalf of Leeway!
