Festive Cheer: Leeway Launches Christmas Appeal

26 November 2020
Christmas campaign poster

We are delighted to launch our 2020 Christmas Appeal, collecting donations for our service users in refuge and the community!

Many people experiencing domestic abuse are unable to take toys & games and other items when leaving, often heading to safety with little more than the clothes they are wearing. Your support enables us to spread some festive cheer, ensuring that they have a great Christmas too!

How to Donate

Due to the Coronavirus, we are limiting the amount of donations that we are accepting this year and have provided a specific list of items on our poster.

We are unable to collect donations at the moment due to the lockdown measures currently in place, but hope to recommence when the lockdown measures are lifted in December.

If you are able to drop off your donations in Norwich, please email our Donations Officer, Neave, to arrange a drop-off slot – n.oldacre@leewaynwa.org.uk This system will enable us to keep everyone safe and avoid the potential spread of Coronavirus.

Items Accepted

Due to Covid-19, we are only able to accept new, unopened items, including:

  • Selection boxes of chocolate and biscuits
  • Arts and craft sets and sticker books
  • Toiletries/toiletry gift sets
  • Toys, games and board games suitable for ages 0-16 (no toy guns or knives)
  • Food hampers

We have also set up an online Crowdfunder page which supporters can donate to. The money raised on this will be used to get presents for service users in refuge and the community.

Thank you for your continued support during these challenging times, it is hugely appreciated by everyone at Leeway!
