Without support from local organisations, trusts and the general public, Leeway would sadly not be able to fund any of our services. Last year alone we were able to support over 3000 women and children locally, and with your donations we can not only continue but hopefully grow to reduce our ever increasing waiting lists.
An online donation is the fastest way to help us. A donation is one of the many ways in which you could really make a difference to support local women and children suffering domestic abuse - to make an online donation please click here.
Don’t forget to gift aid your donation if you are a taxpayer. It will increase your gift by almost an extra third at no extra cost to you.
Please note that we can only reclaim tax on donations made from a personal bank or building society account. We cannot claim Gift Aid on donations made from company accounts.
You must pay an amount of income tax or capital gains tax equal to the tax we reclaim on your donations (currently 28p for every £1 that you give). Please let us know if your circumstances or address change so that we can update our records.
Download our donations form and either post it or fax it back to us.

Donating on a regular basis by direct-debit is an easy and effective way to help Leeway.

Donating to Leeway through your payroll is the simplest and most tax efficient way of helping us. Payroll giving increases your gift by almost 30% at no additional cost to yourself. Every £1 you give will only cost you £0.78 (£0.60 for higher rate tax payers).
Ask your company if they run a Payroll Giving Scheme. If they do you simply need to complete the forms they give you. Please call us for advice if your company doesn’t have a scheme.
A legacy of any size makes such a difference to the lives of the women and children Leeway helps.
There are different types of gift or legacy’s that you could make:
If you choose to leave a gift or legacy to a charity or voluntary organisation it will be tax free and can reduce your inheritance tax.
Writing a will is the best way to make sure your estate is passed on to family and friends exactly as you wish. You may also want to do something for people outside of your immediate family, to help make a difference to the lives of others, by leaving a gift to a charity. A legacy can help a large number of people in need through allowing huge differences to the continuation of services charities are able to offer.
