Now Recruiting: Fundraising and Events Officer

16 September 2016
Hands holding up black we are hiring board

In a recent blog we explained the difference fundraising can make to the work that we do as an organisation. Without the generosity of both individuals in the local community and from businesses and public organisations, much of the work we do would simply not be possible.

“Fundraising can make a huge difference to the lives of those affected by domestic abuse. Every penny raised, no matter how small, helps those who need it most.” – Leeway Chief Executive, Mandy Proctor

While a lot of the fundraising is conducted by you, our amazing supporters, through sponsorship and donations in kind, like many charities we also rely on funds raised through organised events and grants. With that in mind, we are currently looking to add to the Leeway team with the recruitment of a new Fundraising and Events Officer.

About The Role:

• Working hours: 21 hours a week

• Salary: £19,500 pro rata

• Closing date for applications: 5pm on Monday 26th September 2016

The successful candidate will plan and run an annual programme of fundraising activities and events. They will be required to work flexibly according to organisational needs and this will involve working occasional evenings and weekends. Other responsibilities will include securing enhanced funding for both ring fenced and un-ring fenced projects, sourcing donors, liaising and working with other community groups and the general public, and generating funds and donations in kind for Leeway.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are ideally looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a proven track record of fundraising, arranging events and/or holding a fundraising qualification. The candidate should be imaginative, innovative, self-motivated, professional and have a personable attitude. A flexible approach to working outside of office hours, a driving licence and the ability to travel throughout Norfolk and Suffolk is essential, while they should also have the ability to form effective partnerships and productive working relationships at all levels.

If you would like more information about the role or to receive an application pack, please email admin@leewaynwa.org.uk or call 07748972819 and leave your name, address, contact number and email address.
