Leeways Big Cake Break 22nd to 26th November
Thursday, October 21st, 2010
We need you to eat cake, to support adults, children and young people who are experiencing domestic abuse!
In November we are running our ‘Big Cake Break’ fundraising initiative and would like you to take part, by organising your own Cake Break. It’s simple, just; pick a date – the official week is 22nd November, but you can hold yours any day, that suits you - bake (or buy!) some cakes, invite your friends, family, colleagues or neighbours to enjoy eating them, whilst asking everyone to make a donation to Leeway, for the cakes they eat.
This is a fun and easy way to raise some vital funds, to help local adults, children and young people, who are living with domestic abuse. It doesn’t matter if you raise £5 or £50, every penny will make a difference. You could add a competitive twist to your Cake Break by turning it into a baking competition or hold a cake stall, what ever you do and however you do it, the money raised will make a real difference to help Leeway continue it’s vital services.
Leeway is running this event, during the week beginning 22nd November 2010, to raise awareness during ‘National Domestic Violence Awareness Week’. For further information please contact 0845 241 2171, email v.griffin@leewaynwa.org.uk
